E- Brake snapped?
Just pulled the e- brake recently to park and it felt as if it snapped or like I broke the handle or something. It seemed like it jumped through a few notches with a loud sound.
Works fine after) Any ideas? Thanks |

If it works fine now I wouldn't worry about it too much, this has happened to me on my old 335i. Just pull it up a little slower to avoid future problems. |

Haha, I don't think i pulled it hard - maybe just a bit too fast and it made a nasty screeching sound.
I think the cable might have been temporarily blocked or something and became free which caused this, but I see no issues with the e-brake on or off - just thought it was weird. Just like those 2nd gear synchro issues which might come about on a first shift from 1st) |

a few days after i read this thread a similar thing happened to me. i pulled the ebrake like i normally do, and it let out a pretty big "bang" from right under the handle. nothing feels loose, works normal, and i can not replicate it. one occurrence.
