Anyone using Varex Mufflers?
Hi
I'm still shopping around for a M3, and I stumbled across Varex mufflers with an adjustable bypass flap .. just wondering if anyone uses one and what you think https://xforce.com.au/varex-mufflers/ cheers Dave |

No I don't have a Xforce Varex muffler but thanks for alerting me to them Dave. They look like a good solution. So I too would love to hear from someone who has one.
I'd also be interested to hear if anyone has fitted a Remus with 4 valve positions of fully closed, 10% open, 50% open and fully open. https://remusaustralia.com.au/powersound Guy |

I did send an email enquiring if they had a muffler model to suit an e92, their reply was a no, it would have to be a custom fit for a generic muffler .. prob no big deal, just be flanges and mounts ...
I did also ask if the "M" button could be integrated into the system to open the bypass to a set amount ... answer was no again, but it's got me thinking on ways to do it |

Universal fit mufflers are never going to sound as good as a properly tuned exhaust SYSTEM. If all you want is more noise, they'll work. But if you like the smoother and refined sound of a catback exhaust, welding universal mufflers to exhuast tubing won't even be close.

Returning to the Varex muffler, I've spoken to a couple of exhaust specialists who said they could fit two of them to a E9x M3. However it would be a custom job that they've never done before, so they couldn't guarantee what the sound would be like. One of them suggested Remus would be a better option. I'd be interested to know what a Remus combined with stock mid-section sounds like. Last edited by E90M3_Guy; 03-29-2019 at 10:16 PM.. |
