Ravenol vs. Redline / for M3

I posted this at BITOG
https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forum...81#Post4815381
Some people have weighed in, but not with data points or facts to go with their opinions, except for one guy.
What are your thoughts?

I noticed in a YouTube video that SSR Performance, in SoCal, use it when doing the RB job on Spencer Berke's e90.

I'm not familiar with Ravenol...
from Germany...

I've been using Redline for years however....

Any thoughts on the two ester based oil companies' products?
I'm thinking toward the application of BMW M cars....

I doubt there is any oil that will make much difference in these cars. Pick a weight you feel comfortable with for your use and don’t over think the rest.

Only thing I found on Ravenol was this:

It looks like he tests alot of different 10W60 oils also, mostly ones from Germany.

I would say you got some good discussion in that thread. Doodfood, Trav, Garak, etc. are all long-time members and are focusing on the facts. You will always get some posts in there with anecdotal evidence, that's just the nature of the Internet (e.g. "I use brand X and it's good").
