No the inner ring will not be too bright at all so you don't need to worry about that. The rings are accent lights and don't project a focused beam of light forward like the high beams, so it wont go directly in oncoming traffic's eye. It will just illuminate to help make the car visible to them

Got 'em in

Fairly easy to install, but I agree that a smaller pair of hands would have worked better.

Will the H8 v5 set to a color temp of 7000 have the same output as the H8 160? I'm trying to decide which one to get. I think it's cool to be able to adjust color temp but adjustment is not likely something I'll do often.

No not really. The LUX H8 V5 @ 7000k will be around the same color temperature, but not as bright. The LUX H8 160 produces 1600 lumen of light while the H8 V5 produces around 1200 lumen.

Quick shipping, they arrived on Saturday and I had them installed within a half hour or so. The bulbs are very high quality and incredibly bright.

I have an issue though, and it's a rather stupid one; in hindsight I should have emailed you guys about which temperature in your lineup would best match the OEM xenon headlights and other LEDs around the car, such as the license plate and pathway lights in the door handles; the 7000K makes my low beams appear very yellow, though I know their output is somewhere closer to 4,300K. I'm not 100% happy with this; if it's possible to exchange to the temperature controllable bulbs, I may have to take that avenue so I can drop down to the 5000K setting. Otherwise the stark color difference is going to drive me nuts and I'll be tempted to attempt switching to a higher kelvin xenon bulb that still might not match quite right to the 7000K.

Thank you so much nonetheless for providing a high quality product and responsive customer service. Hopefully we can figure this out.

Sure we can help out with this. I've actually found from most everyone that they match the stock xenon's nearly perfectly. Just send me an e-mail directly at Sales@LuxAngelEyes.com

We had the opportunity to meet up with Andrew from FTBR Garage, LLC and see his Black Knight 1M Coupe. Quite an amazing car and we were able enhance it even more with installing the LUX H8 V5 Color Adjustable Angel Eyes on it. Getting rid of the old yellow angel eyes and upgrading them to a pure white 5000K makes them match the eyebrow perfectly now.

What does the highbeam light output look like

Hello LUXANGELEYES and Fellow M3 fanatics

I am interested in purchasing the LUX H8 7K White LED.

I know this replaces the halogen bulb in the highbeam.

The stock highbeam does provide great light coverage with a yellow hue.
The light spread lateral to the left and right...and throws it out pretty far. Better than Stock Bixenon on the car.

Question:
What is the light distribution with this unit when I use HIGH BEAM? Any decrease in the distance and coverage?

I live in a rural area (5 minutes from the city)...so I use my high beam alot.
Does this affect highbeam output, distribution, pattern, coverage for worst?

Any pictures?

I've use LED in the past and the light distribution, pattern, output all suffer.

Thanks!!!

Hey there, I think you might be a bit confused as to what this replaced. These lights only replace the angel eye ( halo rings) and not the actual headlight projection lighting. the Bi-xenon bulb of the car is both the Low bean and the High beam, and this remains unchanged with our lights

Our LUX h8 160 angel eyes replace the bulb that illuminates the rings of the car. It changes them from the stock yellowish halogen color to a much more pure white and it is also much brighter, over 2x brighter than the stock bulb. Here is a picture of the stock angel eye bulb versus the LUX H8 160 angel eyes
