Can anyone help me with my M3?

Hello everyone i have a 2013 BMW M3,

So my car started misfiring not too long ago and i took i to a shop they 'diagnosed' it and they replaced my fuel pump, coils, plugs and injectors they said they were bad but however the car is still misfiring and the code that shows up on the code reader it says 'random misfire'

Would anyone know what this might be?

I had this problem with my E46 M3. The electrical connectors for one of the fuel injectors was loose and briddle due to age. It would randomly misfire and noticed it happened to seem more of the when I hit a bump in the road.

I bought a brand new injector plug, repair wiring , grommets etc and soldered in the replacement.

Take it to a shop that works on BMW's and knows how to read the code, or if all else fails a dealer. Sounds like the last one was happy to just throw parts and your money at the problem and ended up missing all together. BMW's have specific codes that can not be read by your garden variety scanner and will therefore be misdiagnosed, and like you have already seen don't lead to a fix for the actual problem.

Agreed....and the code reader would let you know which cylinder(s) it's misfiring on, so you can then isolate where and what the problem is.

That sounds like a very expensive tour by the shop OP. Like the guys say, try to get a better picture of the issue. Proper code reader is a must but also I'd spend time reading through forums to see what other have found and done. Plenty of threads for instance on here about misfiring.

Good luck!

OP why would you go about spamming the forums with 4 identical posts in 4 different sub-groups? One should be all you need....
