Where's the EEPROM Located on e92 M3 AMP?

Hello,

I'm wondering if someone knows where the EEPROM of an AMP e92M3 is,

I know that the Memory is 24LC64 but I cannot locate it on the board. Also it can only be on the Optic_Board ( top ). I already looked on the Main_Board and there is no such there.

I'm trying to cross reference an AMP for my car and I came across ref compatible # 65-12-9-181-743 or 65.12-9 126 791 they'll work but then you need to code it, so I thought ok I can un-solder the EEPROM from one and put it on the new one if that is possible. In theory it should be possible.

Thank you for help.

The EEPROM of an AMP e92M3

Hello this is very interesting to know, I want to change the mileage on my 2011 M3 from 90K to about 40K, I made some upgrade on the car, is this the location and chip to replace to change the mileage.

Thanks

Uhm....You're just kidding, right? Cause I don't think soldering down a new EEPROM will do that....at all

Well.. not the EEPROM in the Amplifier

To answer the OPs question, makes no sense to do that when you can just have the AMP coded appropriately provided you purchased the correct one. We have many in stock.
