The 5.0 Mustang GT's are like 2x as loud when catless. I think the same goes for a lot of of the current gen muscle cars (aka srt-8's).

Basically ALL OF THEM except Ferraris . Even Ferrari-engined Maseratis have cross-plane V8s. And yes, I like the sound of a cross-plane V8 much better myself. By the way, those thinking the flat-plane crank V8 is some kind of exotic beast, V8s started life with flat-plane cranks in the late 1800s, until better technology gave birth to the cross-plane crank in the early 1920s (more complex and expensive to manufacture). Theres a local guy with a 20xx Pontiac GTO that is ungodly loud. It sounds surprisingly good, but of course its slow as heck.
