I just wanted to publicly thank Charlie and McKenna BMW for an awesome service experience. Thank you!
I found a transmission leak on my DCT a just 4 months after my factory warranty timed-out, and the local BMW dealership with which I had been doing repairs and maintenance for the last year was not willing to push BMWNA to get me a goodwill repair. My direct calls to BMWNA were not fruitful either. The local dealer's quote $2,600 to fix the leak was about $2600 - as the transmission needed to be lowered to complete the repair - and even trusted independent shops like EAS and MRF were giving me estimates >$1200. I know this forum and its sponsors are wonderful resources, so I contacted Charlie@McKennaBMWService just to see if there was any other hope for a goodwill fix. Charlie said he had just gotten a goodwill repair on another customer's leaky DCT (geez BMW...) a few days before and that he thought he could do the same for me. Boy did he deliver: where my local dealer and BMWNA customer service offered me next to nothing, Charlie was able to goodwill 95% of the repair cost! The repair at McKenna was fast and professional and I had a nice loaner 328i to drive around while the M3 was in the shop. I am super grateful to Charlie and McKenna for the help. You have won a customer and ardent advocate. Thank you so much! |
