Possible scam, anyone know this car?

I saw this on autotrader. Something looked off. A quick search of frozen grey M3 shows this exact ad dating back to 2019 with the same photos. You would think a car this nice and this expensive would have a better photo portfolio. Carfax doesn't show the a sale that matches the description.

Not sure, but I definitely remember seeing it for sale last October, same exact ad and photos.

Dont know anything about the second owner but we did some work on that car when it was brand new. Cant forget the rust interior/frozen combo.

Don't know the owner personally, but I don't think it's a scam. It has been on the market for a long time, as you would expect based on the asking price. The same seller has a modded E46 M3 for sale for $45k I think.

Not a scam I think. This thing has been for sale forever. If memory serves he started out asking $65k.

It's still listed in the BMW CCA classifieds:

Two years ago too expensive for sure but low mile e92s are rising so It's gotta be worth close to the asking now if it has been garaged and well kept. EAG has a nothing special 13 AW 6MT with 8500 miles on video listed for $71k and I'm sure they will get that price.

Talked to the owner, we did a FaceTime of car, agreed on a price, started to set up inspections and my flights to come out and see it. He emailed that he decided not sell it. Total BS. Why waste peoples time unless he just wants the attention...

I think you're better off.... consider yourself lucky. that car has been for sale for 2+ years. I know 2 people who have looked at it and passed because of questions marks and a flaky impression of the seller.

YEs, he is very flaky and clearly not serious about selling the car-he is playing games and wasting people’s time.
