I’m glad you are ok, but you should prepare yourself. I really think you’ll be very unlikely to get anywhere near 20k or better from an insurance company on a totaled M3 based on year and mileage. They’re selling for that not being totaled. The insurance company will always lowball and you will have to fight hard. Hope it all works out for you.

In the coming days , weeks , your neck can start to hurt by the impact !
Advice : Go see a doctor and let it check. The expenses of the medical examination are for the insurance of the counterparty anyway .
Don't sign a paper , that you are OK !
I wish you the best of luck ..
THIS is top advice. Look after your neck and back OP!

Glad you are ok!

Take out the m3 cowl in the engine bay. Insurance will not notice or care. Then you get to sell it to me. win win.

I'd say that car is toast... sorry!

Get ready for a BIG battle on valuation. Took me two months to get a value anywhere close (albeit, still low). If I remember correctly, their offer out the gate was like $20k. We're talking about a one of one E90 slicktop 6MT stripper that would probably sell for close to $40k in today money. For what it's worth, that accident happened on 8/15/2018. We finally got everything established early this week and should be finalizing (hopefully) next week. 2+ years from beginning to end...

I'm prepared to be patient. I have multiple vehicles so I'm in no rush. They better give me at least 23k if it's based off miles and whats available on the market.

Yep we were in a similar situation in that we didn't need to replace it immediately.

I can certainly see where the insurance companies can use that sense of urgency most people will experience to their advantage. Interesting that they'll only allow for a few days of rental coverage if you don't have it yourself, too. I get things can't go on in perpetuity, but another little poke to force lower values being accepted.

Good luck!
