Secondary Air Valve

My car is throwing a fault code for a bad Secondary Air Valve (passenger side). I feel like replacing this thing is going to be a ... Wondering if it might just be easier to code it out? Is this even possible? I live in PA and I can pass inspections with one sensor "not ready," but will fail with the "SES" light.

I’d says it’s possible through coding since there is a cold start delete option for tunes and no SES light is triggered

To code it out you need a tune or you can download your DME bin file and modify with the ECUWorx app. The latter is obviously cheaper, but riskier if you aren't tech savy.

A stick valve in the secondary air pump can cause poor mpg, no?

Coding it out will bypass it completely so mpg is not affected?

I’ve replaced them on both sides without removing anything but the intake manifold. It is a bit*h though
