Carly Battery Registration work with Veepeak?

Does anyone know if the Carly battery registration works with the VeekPeak Bluetooth OBD Adapter? Some features seem to only be available with the Carly reader.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Need to swap out the battery debating shop or DIY. Thanks

From reading prior threads I don't think Carly correctly registers any battery on E9x M3's, though I could be wrong if there has been a significant update.

I was unable to properly register a new battery using Carly with the official Bluetooth adapter. The app will say the registration is successful, however it doesn't reset the mileage. The app is misleading and outright wrong, imo.

Check out Tool32 (Ediabas) as a PC-based alternative. Worked great for me.

Carly does not actually register a battery despite it saying so on the application. When you contact them for help, you get useless information, so I canceled my subscription and bought an Autel MX808 reader and diagnostic tablet. It works pretty well and indeed does register batteries along with date, time, and AH level. Definitely handy and they provide occasional updates as well and it works with a multitude of auto brands.

Use bmwlogger. It's free. You just need a coding cable.

Thanks all!

Sucks Carly is a fail, some say it works and it is a history reading issue.

Running a mac and had parallels a few years ago and may have run those apps Tool32 and BMW logger, look familiar.

Thanks again, got to find that damn cable. Know I bought one but can't even remember why anymore.

Got a response from Carly support:

"If you register the battery with our Carly App and do not receive an error message, then you can be sure that it has worked.
Your new battery is then successfully registered.

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to read the battery registration history for all vehicle models.

Thats why probably some customers say it's not possible.

However, this never affects the function itself.
If you register the battery and do not receive an error message, then you can be sure that it has worked."
