I tried out the Motul 8100 Xcess 10w60 this oil change and here are the 3 things I noticed.

1. Similar warm up time to LM and Ravenol, slightly cooler normal operating temp (210 on the nose versus 220)
2. Oil runs 20 degrees cooler on the track vs LM. Both oils were tested in December, on the same track with the same ambient temps, same cooling system etc. Oil temps never exceeded 240F even with extended 30+ min sessions on a short track. LM would see 255-260F within 10 minutes on track.
3. quieter start up, similar noise levels when warm.

Im sticking with Motul from now on.

Ok this is interesting. I'm running LM. Point #2 - has this continued to be so? might try it one day then.
