Have no fear.Front ///MBadge makes a nice desk accessory at work....

But please, I have to ask you a favor. PLEASE, as a courtesy to all that is holy, PLEASE do not put that M badge on the front grilles. That is the tackiest most poserish shit in the universe, and BMW lost a lot of my respect by adopting the practice with the new car. If you want to dress up the grilles, putting the M stripes on the grilles is a much more subtle and nice way to set the front of the car off.

I'm serious. I will give you money, or buy you the stripes myself. Anything to prevent yet another car from putting on that faggy badge on the front end. Please, think of the children.
Haha, Agreed....exactly why I did not put it on the car. However, if I could find a MUCH smaller, black ///M (monochrome) I might consider it. And I mean much smaller. Everyone has their own taste. So have no fear, If I was using it, I would have put it on already.

However I did install the LUX angel eyes, and the C/F Spoiler...

Now all I have to do is install the RD sport springs, and Bilstein struts, along with some C/F side skirts and I'd like to get my hands on Bret@Usedmods Mode LM Rear diffuser..

Then ESS S/C kit, Awron gauge, short shifter, electronic performance steering wheel with shift lights, and Im done. (Until I find 20 other things I want)

It's a kit you can purchase online for about $120, I'll PM you the details...I still need to put the writing on the other side of each tire as well...

I try to do things "right" whenever possible. I was planning on adding a lot of other extras along with the S/C kit. Rod Brearings, Cam shafts, valve springs, and a few other week points in the head/block.

I was always curious how the S65 could rev so high, and be so well balanced...Apparently it's not as balanced as I thought.

THANKS FOR THE INFO!

Talking Congrats on your M3

Your M3 is looking really good job so far . I see the mod virus is taking over don't fight it just let it take control. The car will be even more awesome once you add a supercharger . Enjoy your M3

Thanks, I've had that virus for 13 years, I don't think there is a cure...

But can't wait to boost it, I can't imagine how hard it's going to pull....Just stinks I can't do the S/C until at least October when it is the absolute LEAST practical time to have a 600+whp RWD car...I might have to do the harder, but smarter thing and wait until the spring to add the s/c kit.

But that leaves me a solid 5-6 months to add all the finishing touches and prepare the car for that much power (larger/ better rear tires, suspension bushings, upgraded LSD, stronger axles, some stronger S65 internals, etc.

BTW, I noticed they make performance camshafts for the S65. How does this work with the "VANOS" and is it worth the $2-3K plus im sure the costly and timely installation???

Same for the after-market headers? Very few forum member have either?

RD Sport Springs installed...

Got a great deal on these springs from Bret@Usedmods, a while back. Finally got around to throwing them in...

Pleased to say, ZERO rubbing...Even on full steering lock...Over hard bumps etc..Being that there are a few thousand miles on the springs, safe to say they are broken in and about as low as they are going to go.

This even with a staggered wheel/tire setup:

Front: 19" x 9.5" offset 25 (Hankook Evo Ventus V-12 255/35/19)
Rear: 19" x 10.5" offset 25 (Hankook Ventus Evo V-12 275/35/19)

Coming soon: Bilstein Sport (non-edc) shocks/dampers....

The ride quality is as good, if not better than stock. Same comfort. but substantially less body roll...

Here are some preliminary pics. More later after I detail it...

If you are getting carbon fiber side skirt extensions, go with the mode carbon ones. They are a little more conservative and have a curvature to them that matches the flow of the side skirts on the car, much better than the flat block of CB stuck to the side-look the more commonplace extensions are sporting. Of course, you pay 2x, so may not be worth it to you.

When it comes to any long term mods, getting name brand is the only option for me. Very happy now, so ill be patient and maybe I'll see a used set pop up on here for a good deal.

Btw, HUGE shout out to Tony @ Net Motor-Works. He has done some of the labor intensive work, I haven't had the time to do for a fraction of what some other shops charge.

If anyone in the Long Island, New York area needs work done where they don't have to worry about there car being scratched or just treated like any other car, contact Tony @ Net Motorsports in Bayshore. He specializes in BMW and Audi to a lesser extent. He does everything from routine services to Super-charger installs and has a beautiful shop.

Heres his contact info:

Those splitters look as awesome on a black car as they look terrible on a white car.

Sweet ride! Congrats. Now spend more money on mods! You know you wanna!

Appreciate it my man...Im looking forward to meeting some of you at the meets in person, as the car looks much better in person. From my experience, dark colors are not a photogenic on our cars bc of the beautiful body lines they hide...

And speaking of hiding.exaggerating lines...I bought monochrome vinyl stripes for the lower rear skirt, in front of the rear wheel well.

My belief why the black M3's are less photogenic is bc the lower part of the car is the same color as the shadow around/under the car. I think this denotes the width of the car from roof to bottom and hides the real shape, as well as making it look like it sits higher...

The point of the vinyl for me was to draw attention to the lower body lines, thickness and obv match the overall monochrome theme of the car...

Below i photo shopped a picture to get an idea how it would look. Im 50%/50% on this...

What do the members think? Too much or different and and cool

Now I may put them on this weekend; But I NEED some input from the senior members here first

...LOVE being diff but have a tendency to go overboard also

Please post yes/no below this post get a better idea of if this is over the top...

Your car is a savage beauty, though I don't get the aesthetics of the Hankook lettering on the tires.

Agreed. Not sure weather I will be doing this again with my next set of tires...

But one thing is for sure, I will 100% be returning to Michelin PSS tires again next. The Ventus v-12 evo's are great for the money but no comparison to the PSS...Heavier, and def getting some understeer taking the same turns I took with the PSS, only about 15-20 mph slower...

But to be honest, I did it because I rarely see cars with them, they look really cool rolling and add some contrast. Also, I've gotten more compliments on those than anything else I've done so far...So well see.

But thanks for your input brotha.
