OEM Floating Center Caps in motion

Since I've had my m3 the center caps were always a sore spot for me when i'd look at the car but I could never pull the trigger on a set of OEM caps and I've had bad luck with ebay ones. I was feeling adventurous one night and through some OEM center caps in my cart on ECS and thought "WOW, these stupid caps are expensive!" Not fully realizing what I was looking at I ran the part number through the google machine and saw that they were floating center caps. I'm typically not this frivolous but thought "Fuck it, it can't hurt to do one stupid and pointless mod" and boy was I right. I paid $80 for the four center caps which in my mind was absolutely absurdly expensive for something so minute and pointless but I must say, I love them! It's so stupid but I've received so many compliments from strangers at stoplights, car shows, parking lots, etc. I get a kick out of it!

Yes I ordered a set. Gonna put them on the ARC-8R once they're in!

I do not like those, but I'm about to spend $80 on center caps that don't do anything special, so what the hell do i know?

Pretty cool for what they are, I suppose.

That's exactly what my thought process was although I think they're entertaining. I thought about going the cheap route and getting ebay knockoff center caps but I never had good luck with fitment. For me it was a $20 difference or so to get these vs the OEM non-floating.

I'm running these currently as well. My previous caps were peeling, so these were a great alternative, I got mine from IND.
