Meet Up This Saturday

As of today, the plan for Saturday will be....

1st - Go to Hunt Valley Cars & Coffee (HVCC) in north Baltimore, leaving around 8am, arriving around 9am.

2nd - Leave HVCC about 1015am, and go to College Park Ikea, meeting at 11am with others. We'll hang for a bit, take pix, and then Noon-ish, we can head towards the Annapolis area to cruise some nice back roads together for 90 minutes or so.

So for those in the Baltimore area, let's meet at HVCC, and if you want to caravan up together from the south, meet at the Catonsville Park and Ride (the Southwest Park and Ride at 1198 S Rolling Rd, Catonsville, MD 21228).

For those in DC/VA area, meet us in College Park, and we can go for a cruise near Annapolis in the early afternoon.

A morning half-day cruise will be planned for later in the spring....like maybe in the hills of western Virginia or in the Frederick area.

**This is an E9X Meet, though we will likely have other M cars present, but all cars from Deutschland are welcome. Others? Well, let's just say we'll be German snobs for a day.

For the next 2 weekends, my schedule will be a tad erratic, so hard for me to commit to anything unless it's last minute....

So, let's plan on these upcoming dates:

Saturday March 30th
Saturday April 20th or Sunday the 21st

Where? There's some decent roads in western MD (about an hour away from the DC area), or we can plan to go to a meet in the DC/MD/VA area, and do a quick cruise locally before the meet in the morning.

Later this summer, I can plan a daylong super cruise in the central Virginia mountains where the roads are supreme.

Dave, if you know of any good roads or meets in Southern VA (Richmond/Fredricksburg area), let us know....and we can plan a drive south of DC, so you won't have to come as far.

I'll check with some other M's in my area as well, see what they want to do.

If there's interest, we'll try to do some meet/cruises regularly this spring and summer...like once a month. Plus there will be some big car events occurring in the MD/DC/VA....and some out of the area. So we should have plenty of opportunities to connect this spring.

Why don't you guys come out to check out the HODE event at summit point this weekend? Bunch of us will be there with the Audi club.

Summit Point Driver's School? Yes, this is a nice event. I did this with the Porsche Club when I had my M4. It was very informative, controlled, and I even learned how to do power slides (similar to drifts, but not as dramatic), because in some high-speed emergency situations, this technique is needed. I recommend it.

So, where and what time are you guys gathering to caravan to Summit Point
each day this weekend? Summit is pretty far, so this only makes any kind of sense to me when we're driving out together in a pack, because that's half the fun.

Still planning on a gathering and cruise on the 30th, location and exact time TBD...but MD/VA area is fairly certain.

Count me in, at least for the HVCC portion - see you guys at 8am I'm Space Grey, carbon roof, anthracite EC-7's etc. Also, I have a full AA catless setup +BPM Stage II if anyone has been trying to hear/see one in person.

College Park Ikea at 11, as I'm leaving Hunt Valley about 1015, and headed straight to Ikea.

Cruise is set in some back roads outside of Annapolis off Rt 2.
