wow, yeah theres some flaws in that lip.

I will say that i have installed a couple MODE GTS lips, and while they were VERY nice quality, the fitment is not perfect. its actually fairly close in fitment to this lip, just a little better.

I've had mine since his first batch (since last spring), its aquired a few scrapes and bumps, and held together well. Great price for something youre bound to bash up. Now that I've learned gaging the lip on road, I think Ill invest in a better fit and finish lip when the funds open up. Its all about mind set when it comes to this lip or anything cheap for that matter.
While I agree with you, I ended up paying $320 for something that looked like it would fit (based on their Instagram page). For 100 bucks more, I could've gotten something locally that would have actually fit the car. That's my regret.

What really grinds my gears is the way people defend the lip. It's not a great lip and the fitment is not great. Hell it's barely acceptable standing 10 feet away. Sure, it's a good beater but you're giving it way too much credit.

No, I'm not defending it. Its a cheap alternative. Yes, you're right; I gave it a little too much credit, but thats because I did research and knew what I was going to. Its what I expected.

Sorry I went off on a tangent there. I meant the people in the for sale thread that are defending it.

biggest regret... 380mm rotor brembo GT kit.. In hindsight should have gone with 360mm because a lot of rims don't fit and now im having problem finding replacement pads.. Vendors sent me pads for the 360mm and the original pagid replacement pad doesn't seem to exist anymore

dont have any other regrets..

My biggest regret...is having moved from wide open highways in Las Vegas/West Coast to traffic light congestion on the East Coast.

Every other mod I have done was with purpose, and I have zero regrets.

Highly recommend you don't do the East Coast mod though. It's actually the worst. Blessed to have 2 years of opening my M3 up on the roads the way it's meant to be driven. Now, it'll never be the same again...

Trust me I understand that, I'm in Baltimore and it's traffic light hell. But sometimes I wish I would have kept my car completely stock, there's just something about a stock car that is very appealing to me. You don't have to worry about cracking your carbon lip, or telling a valet not to touch your air ride settings, or worry about replacing your expensive wheels because of Baltimore roads. I'll be looking for a 997.2 soon to keep the M company and I think I'll try to keep it stock for a long as possible. Who knows how long that'll last

I've lived somewhere near Atlanta (or now IN Atlanta) my whole life.

During my most recent trip out west (northern Nevada for work), all I could think of is how sweet it would be to be humming along in the M3. Beautiful landscape and I might pass another car every five miles.

Now Atlanta on the other hand..........

I almost blew money supercharging my car before moving here. Now that I would have really regretted for the simple fact that I'd NEVER be able to utilize it.

I could barely ever get past a 75% throttle out West in/around Vegas without being flat out reckless. And if I did, I was well into the triple digits and had to ease up just as quick.

In the DC area, I'm lucky if I can get over 4k RPM on my ECU tuned M3.

Getting the Meisterschaft GT2 exhaust, which ended up constantly hurting my ears and giving me ear ringing.

Second regret was replacing it with a Gintani Race, which droned almost as bad XD

Ended going with a stock exhaust with test pipes, perfect sound when accelerating and completely quiet when cruising.

Yep. That's why I've only put a few thousand miles on in the past couple of 18months. 15mph over can be misdemeanor reckless in VA. Every MPH over 90 = a mandatory day in jail! It's just nutty.

Good old VA. I got pulled over for 81 in a 55 a few years ago. I didn’t know their traffic laws at the time and was floored when the cop told me he got me for “reckless” driving, and that it was a misdemeanor offense. Over the next few months leading up to the traffic court date I received numerous calls and pieces of mail from lawyers trying to represent me. Practicing law in that state seems pretty lucrative considering everyone speeds, especially on I-66. It’s a shame since VA has some very nice driving roads.
