Extra connector near the rear view mirror?

Hey guys, just bought this M3 and am sorting through all of the little quirks.

The rear view mirror is plugged in, as well as the rain sensor. Any ideas what this extra connector is for?

My first guess is the ambient light sensor for the auto headlights.

Judging by all the shit and scratches on the back of your rvm my guess is something else you to also live up there too.. maybe the connector is for whatever that was?

Car could possibly have the wrong windshield installed. There should be a plug for rain sensor and auto headlights.
