I would actually HIGHLY recommend not running the Monoblock version for several reasons.

If you're looking for additional brake power, you're not going to find it. Sure it's awesome to say that you have racing brakes on the car, but the AP Racing Street brakes that we offer, still have the same braking power.

Another reason I wouldn't recommend running them, is because you will constantly have to be rebuilding the calipers, over, and over again. Race teams will rebuild their calipers with their race team ever 2 races or so.

Unless this is a 100% dedicated track car, and you have your own crew, I would look past the Monoblocks to be honest. It's really not worth the hassle, and in the long run, it's just not worth it.

VMR V713's In Matte Black. We had an advanced set of these wheels sent to us in this color so we can slap them on for a photoshoot

They are available in Silver if you want them, or you can get them powdercoated another color.

The monoblocks from AP Europe have different components then the AP/Stillen Kits you carry.
The monobloks are lighter and made from a different alloy that dissapate heat better and will actually add life to both rotor and pistons.

Really?? for a street driven car that sees the track 6-10 times a year??
The reason race teams replace the pistons and seals every 2-3 races is because of the intense temperatures and wear associated with repeated use over a race weekend.
The common street/track enthusiast will rebuild the monobloks and your versions at the same intervals.

In the long run??... AP Racing Europe monobloks weigh less - they come with rotors and caliper brackets that are made in-house and with better materials and have actual proven race track time.

These Stillen version/AP Kits are great for the street and are better suited for these cars then the one-size-fits-all Brembo Kits ... but dont make a case against the in-house AP Racing Monobloks as there is no comparison (the latter being a 'tad' more expensive)

AP is a great company with great products no doubt. But really so much talk about CAD? 3D CAD is 80's technology - it is not something to really boast about these days, it is required and standard. FE is a bit cooler than CAD but there again finite elements were common in the 70's.

I also tend to agree with the quite critical post directly above. I know you guys are enthusiasts but in my opinion you need to do a bit more work on your background stories and your product recommendations.

I had a friend (who will remain nameless, ), who went to the track and ruined his rotors (actually cracked his rotors), and he exclaimed to BMW that he actually was coming down a very steep hill using his brakes, and once he hit a puddle of water at the end of this steep hill, the cold water hit his very hot brakes, and shattered the disc.

Amazingly BMW replaced his rotors, no questions asked.
