No on people. Your training you give shots to each other. Mine was much after school but it's a half day course, not a big deal. Would rather not do them for simple fact wr dont have time to add 50 shots a day to our workload so we can make the company extra money. No incentive for us personally.

Do you not realize that the drug companies have to take an educated guess at which flu strain will be hitting for the season? Many times they miss. And sometimes the vaccine actually gives people the flu. I find it amusing how many people that get the flu shot actually get the flu every year. I don't get the shot. The last time I had the flu was 1996. My wife hasn't had the flu since the 1990s. My 10 y/o daughter and 13 y/o son have never had it either. My wife and kids have never had the shot either. We all eat healthy, are thin, and maintain healthy lifestyles. That probably has a lot to do with it.

It is your choice, but I feel for your kids and the community at large. I’m guessing you won’t be so flippant when they come down with the measles or really severe case of the flu.

With that said, my wife and I are not against vaccines. There is a time and place for them. It's simply risk management. We didn't vaccinate because we do not believe it's a good idea to be injecting an infant/young child (sub 2 y/o) with all sorts of vaccines/drugs who's immune system is just getting started. Autism, thimerosal, etc. were not the drivers for us. We researched the hell out of this before making the decision. One thing is for certain, we do not blindly do what the CDC recommends. Consider the source of the information and who is lobbying them and the fact that you can't sue if their recommendation resulted in injuring/killing your loved one. Research and make your own personnel informed decision. No one can force you to take a drug. Our children have been incredibly healthy from the start and have been that way they're whole life. They've gotten a few colds and fevers here and there, but that's it. I can't say the same for most kids we know, nearly all of which are loaded with drugs and are vaccinated.

Ok, in the usa, where most are immunized, very few (but not zero) measles deaths - but that is because it is virtually eliminated here. Worldwide it claims over 100k per year (WHO says 145,000 in 2014).
Also a good place to mention that those of you who forgo immunizations provide a handy breeding ground for those bugs to mutate and develop resistance, so thanks for helping drag us back towards the third world with this type of anti-science rhetoric. The 'they look healthy so we must have made the right choice' may let you feel good, until it fails completely - I seldom heard parents saying things like 'we knew it was gonna happen' at the bedside. |

Complications occur in about 30% of cases and may include diarrhea, blindness, inflammation of the brain, and pneumonia, among others. Nine out of ten people who are not immune and share living space with an infected person will catch it. Measles affects about 20 million people a year, primarily in the developing areas of Africa and Asia. No other vaccine-preventable disease causes as many deaths. In 1980, 2.6 million people died of it, and in 1990, 545,000 died; by 2014, global vaccination programs had reduced the number of deaths from measles to 73,000. The risk of death among those infected is usually 0.2%, but may be up to 10% in people with malnutrition. Most of those who die from the infection are less than five years old. Measles is not believed to affect other animals. Before immunization in the United States, between three and four million cases occurred each year. As a result of widespread vaccination, the disease was declared eliminated from the Americas in 2016. It, however, occurred again in 2017 and 2018 in this region. The measles vaccine is effective at preventing the disease, and is often delivered in combination with other vaccines. Vaccination has resulted in a 75% decrease in deaths from measles between 2000 and 2013, with about 85% of children worldwide being currently vaccinated. Once a person has become infected, no specific treatment is available, but supportive care may improve outcomes. This may include giving oral rehydration solution (slightly sweet and salty fluids), healthy food, and medications to control the fever. Antibiotics may be used if a secondary bacterial infection such as pneumonia occurs. Vitamin A supplementation is also recommended in the developing world.

Research should have shown that flu shots use inactive virus and do not cause flu. Still his choice but I question the sources he is using...

That's why I was wondering the sources. "Well researched" and some of the commentary, including the part you point out, don't seem to reconcile.
