As someone else said, as long as you like it, that's all that matters.
Honestly you stop noticing the extended part. I have the extended in my car.

My initial reaction is naw. Yeah, I'm weird, I like beige. But after looking at the photos, the 2 tone looks nice.

had it in my last jet black e90. I liked it (even added extended red pieces), but I'd certainly prefer all red if I had to do it again. I like colored interiors though; but I'm rocking all black on my Current e90 and luvin the classic look.

I typically only buy a BMW if it's a rare or unique combo, all of my cars are examples of this. I bought a 2011 Mineral E93 with the black/red combo specifically because it was more rare.
Anyone know when the two tone interiors showed up for the E9x? I know it started in 2011 but I'm not sure if it went through 2013. It's actually not listed on the BMW order guide as an interior option (for 2011 anyway), but the code is present on the VIN decode.

Here's my two-tone interior. Was it my first pick ? Not really but I'm glad it wasn't black. Black is fine but to me it's boring at times.I like any color that pops out. My two previous cars had red interiors.

To each their own but it looks unfinished to me. Looks like they barely had enough material so they threw it on the seats, but only part of it. I actually passed up 2 cars because of the two tone. Almost as bad as beige interior with wood. Hahaha. But if you have it and like it then that’s all that matters.

We have the same two-tone color combo. Similar to many on here, my first preference was fox red, all black second. First I thought it looked weird but it wasn't a deal breaker for me (obviously). I love the subtlety, a well balanced mix of sporty/aggressive (fox red) and basic/unassuming (all black) imo

I depends on the car and design. I like it on the E9x when it's lower back and seat which I think is all cars or maybe later years. Looks good on your car imo.

The design on the 2020 F82M looks terrible. Looks decent on the 18M3CS.

I bought my car only having seen pics, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it in person, but I loved it right away. Something a little different without being tacky.

I love the black/red two tone but it was only on certain cars. I just snagged speed cloth.

Just what I wanted...space grey metallic exterior with two tone fox red/black interior.

I was also able to get a new driver's side leather backrest replacement which I saw was pulled from the frame the first time I saw her when she was delivered to me....a few days inside the factory warranty.

To me the two tone looks like you ripped your seat and couldn’t find black material to replace the ripped section so said screw it let’s put a red panel here lol. Hate it soooo much. I would skip cars that had the two tone interior when I was hunting. Settled for a black leather interior but would have preferred red.

Two tone looks MUCH better in person. Photos don’t do justice.

Eh, until you see two batman heads in the backseat design, which really stand out in two tone.

Single tone looks so plain and ugly that you wish you could slap the seller/dealer's mother for selling you a cardboard boring looking interior.

Eh, that’s fair. Fortunately for me, the car is a weekend car (<2k Miles a year) and 90% of the time is without any passengers.
