Replacing drivers seat

I am planning on replacing the drivers seat with a Recaro Speed. What are the recommended floor mounts? I understand that i would need the recaro sliders too. I talked to VAC motorsports and they have floor mount adapters however they said they would need to be modified to make them work with non fixed back racing shells which i'm not crazy about doing.

Are there any other options?

Also since i'm just replacing the drivers seat, i'm assuming i won't have issues with the occupancy sensor light that i would have if i were to replace the passenger seat. Is this correct?
Thanks for any help.

You will need coding done to get rid of the airbag light, seat position sensor, and active head rest errors. You are removing an airbag and multiple sensors in the seat when replacing with aftermarket.

Ok. I was afraid of that. Is it just coding that needs to be done? Or are there parts that i need to get installed with the mounting of the seat?

Just coding. who ever does the coding will turn these item off so that the seat belt and other airbag still function properly.

anyone have experience with the Recaro Sportster CS with the universal side airbag? Seems like a nice compromise in order to retain the side airbag and have a more supportive seat than stock.

I have that set up in black leather and I really like it. The Recaro CS already come w/ side mounts and sliders and all you have to buy are Macht Schnell aluminum floor mounts for the E92 M3 at $ 225 a piece at EAS. Man, this things are a beauty, they fit perfectly and look better than OEM. I kid you not its possible to almost spend $1000 in Recaro hardware for a pair of seats, so why spend it there and not the seats. I have the seats paired w/ a 4 point Schroth Quick Pro harness for its my daily driver and once a month track car. PM w/ an e-mail and I'll send you pics.

Thanks! I tried sending you a PM however i believe your mailbox is full. How is the support compared to stock? Marginally or significantly better? Also how is the weight compared to stock? Do you sit much lower than stock?

Whatever it is don't just replace the driver's seat. Replace the passenger's seat as well.

Please post a pic here or PM me. Sounds like an ideal setup. Thanks.
