Holiday Credit

So I ordered my car a couple weeks ago (11/20) and I was notified today that the car won't be ready for performance center delivery until Feb 4th, so shitty. My salesperson didn't say anything about my Holiday credit being null, so is he going to drop this on me last minute or is there some way around it?

Thanks for your time!

Whatever you have for a deal when you order the car should be what you get when you pick it up... If you're worried get them to send you an email stating EXACTLY what the deal is and that it will be valid when you pick it up.

I asked that question when I placed my order on 11/26. The holiday credit is locked in for as long as you financing is which is 60 days. You should still get your credit unless the dealer tries to be shady.

AFAIK: the holiday credit expires/ends 1/3/2011...so the $1500 rebate is gone, but your MF and residuals will be locked in.....

kind of like the recent UDE 1K credit earlier this year, you have to take delivery of your vehicle before the date of expiration....

Just heard back from my CA here is his response:

"January 3rd is when the current rate period ends. As long as you are locked in to the current rate program(which you are), you will be able to take advantage of the rates for up to 90 days from January 3rd."

Looks like I'll be fine. Btw does anyone have anything that will knock me out for about 2 months?

I would call bmwfs/bmwna just to be sure honestly....

he is saying rate (MF and residual), yet you are asking about the holiday credit ($1500 off to cap cost and/or drive fees)...just don't want you having any surprises on delivery day...you'd be surprised how info changes from CA to CA and dealership to dealership...

I called bmwna and was told I'd be fine. When I checked bmwfs she said it was arranged through the dealer, then I asked about Dec money factor and she said "0%apr" <--idiot

cool..

from what I've read, nov and dec rates will be very similar if not the same, since the holiday credit runs thru december as well...still waiting for leasecompare to post dec lease rates tho....

Your program is safe but it's actually 60 days from January 3, not 90.

Where did you come up with 60 days? The BMW financial approval notification states "approvals valid for 90 days from published program expiration date unless otherwise stated in bulletin" I just want to make sure the correct information is being given out so that the forum members are well educated, am I missing something? The Holiday Cash bulletin says nothing about limiting the holiday cash to 60 days. If you could clarify please.

We need some real answers in this thread! Because if the 1500 is valid for 60 or 90 days AFTER "qualifying" I will order my car at Christmas instead of January 29th, to get that $1,500 Holiday Credit.

^^the above post I posted is what bmw quoted to the dealers. I had Ryan look it up so everyone is on the same page. Unless there is something that I missed that is the correct info based on what we received from BMW.

West Coast (Cali) is 90 days, everywhere else is 60 days AFAIK...

that's the general rule for "locking in rates" when ordering as well...

^^^^^that could be correct, hence the reason I asked "David" if he could clarify where he got that info so we all will be on the same page. I can say that the notification we received directly from BMW states 90 and no where on the notification does it state West Coast (Cali) only anywhere in the notification. however i can see how 60 days east coast /90 days west coast would make sense, hopefully we can get some clarification so everyone is on the same page

Is that because of additional transport time to west coast?

I had to order another M3 bro...so I've spent some time researching expiration dates and the holiday credit...

from what I've read, feb 28th is the cut off to take delivery to still qualify for holiday credit, not sure if that's correct or not....

I'm hoping it is 60 days from the cutoff. So if the cutoff is January 3rd, 60 ACTUAL days after that would be March 4th, so you would have to take delivery by March 4th to get the $1,500 Holiday Credit.

That is what I hope to be the case.
