Leather Conditioner/Cleaners

Wondering what leather conditioners/cleaners you use and how often you use them?

I'm using Chemical Guys leather cleaner and conditioner and I do it once every 2ish months. Looking to switch to something else which is why I'm asking

I like meguiars leather cleaner, but leatherique is probably one of the best. Same with Swissvax. Just get a good brush, you always should agitate with leather.

Leather Masters has always worked well for me.

I use Griots all in one leather spray as maintenance cleaning, it gives a nice genuine leather smell to the seats, too. I also use leatherique every six months or so. It's the best. These are pics from a 36 hr restore when I bought the car.

I use chemical guys sprayable leather.

I've used leatherique before for a few treatments. But I stopped cause removing it seems to take forever. I'm sure I just gotta put more elbow grease into it but it's just too time consuming for me.

How are you guys removing leatherique after letting it sit? Is there any tricks you guys are using, or does it just take time and effort?

I use only the Leatherique Rejuvenator oil . After 48 hours or more in the heat of the sun , I wipe it off with a microfiber towel and warm water .
That's it ....Done !

Yeah, that's what I was using too. And from what I remember correctly, the instructions have you use their pristine clean to remove the oil. Man it took forever to remove the oil.

Maybe I should use warm water like you instead of adding more oils and chemicals to the mix.

Yeah . No more Pristine clean for me anymore . I just remove it with warm water . The Rejuvenator oil feels and looks way better .
Love the factory matte finish from Rejuvenator oil, it's the best product on the market for our Novillo leather

I love the smell of the Griots 3-in-1 cream. I keep my leather super clean so I don't necessarily need a harsh cleaner.

I never understood this. They make SOME decent products. Sure, their marketing is trashy and they have aggressive sales tactics, and make 9 products for each thing, and they (ugh, I could go on and on) but I've found a few of their products worthwhile, specifically their V07 Sealant and butter wet wax.

I mean- if you're the type to lock into a brand across the board, sure, avoid CG. But if you cherry pick products, I think CG has a few offerings worth considering, especially for the average enthusiast consumer.

*edit: I've also found their soaps to be okay (not any better or worse than most products), but their polishes are strait up garbage.

Your post said it all. V7 and butter wet wax. So many better alternatives. If you want to give your money to a company that is just run by a bunch of goons go ahead. I’m not saying dedicate yourself to one brand. There are many with good track records, consistent products, and they can actually explain what is meant to be used and when.

Optimum car wax and collinite 845 blow them out of the water for example. You can do your own research and see how those compare to the listed products. Knowledge is a good thing.

I know to avoid their products MOST of their products. Some arent bad and I just so happened to get this as a christmas gift so I decided to just use it instead of letting it go to waste

Mr.Pink was well liked, but I haven't heard that being used in a few years.

I used to be active on the detailing forums back when I had my E90 and over the past few years the CG marketing took over the entire Bimmerpost forums. It's amazing what marketing can do, but same time no one knows any better. Professional detailers do not have CG products in their arsenal. At best one or two items, but I highly doubt it. I used to have several of their products I used and made switches to others that were much more consistent. Any good product they have there will be another out there for the same price and brings better performance. So why use them?

As mentioned already, leatherique oil with a wet microfiber towel to remove. No pristine clean. I do this once or twice a year. For little cleaning in between I use leather master of just water

My leather is in good shape so I've never been inclined to go through the Leatherique process. I just maintain it with Griot's or Sonax. Both are simple sprays that you just rub in and buff with a microfiber towel, and give a gentle cleaning and conditioning while leaving the finish matte.

Which Griot's product exactly?
I am trying to decide on a good leather conditioner in hopes to keep mine pristine. No rips or scratches at all it basically looks fresh from the factory and would like to keep it that way without messing with it too much.
