Macht Schnell spacers rusting? UPDATE!!! Not EAS fault

I've had mine for about a year and they are starting to rust pretty bad. Anyone else have this expierence? I'm just trying to narrow down how this is happening. If it's not happening to anyone else I'll have to look into what my detailer is using.
*********I just want to clarify that the quality of the EAS products I have bought have been top notch. I bought my OEM BMW 359 gts rims from them and they were the OEM real deal as advertised. All other non OEM products that I've purchased from EAS have been top notch and I'm sorry for any confusion. I just talked to my detailer and the product he was using to detail my rims created the issue. (it was very acidic just as Tom suggested) Tom and the guys at EAS are top notch. Just make sure you know what your detailer is using on your car before they proceed. Sorry if there was any negative thoughts about the Macht Schnell spacers and/or EAS. I respect them both.

Any chance it is brake dust? I've had my MS spacers for a while and there's no sign of rust (even when I took them off and switched out the set).

I just added pics to my original choice. It's not break dust.

Spacers are aluminum, so they shouldn't rust.

I would assume it would possibly be caused using an acidic wheel cleaner?

Thanks Tom. I'm thinking the same thing. My back spacers haven't started yet, but I switched to a new detail guy and thats when it started after awhile.

I was wondering how aluminum could rust.

Aluminum oxidizes at a powdery white looking finish. I'm not sure what's going on with those.

I'm not sure either but i'm pretty sure it has something to do with what my detailer is using on them.

Definitely appears to be rust though. Were the spacers ever made from steel Tom? Never really heard of steel spacers, but nothing would surprise me these days.

It definitely looks like rust. My only thought is transfer from the hubs maybe?
