Valve Cover Gaskets

I plan to replace my Valve cover gaskets in the next week or so. Car has 120k miles. Thought it would be a good idea to tackle this now. There are minor signs of it leaking. Nothing serious. But I'm ocd.

Kindly recommend me the right gaskets I should buy by posting a link of it here. I'm kinda confused looking at the different options out there. Some packages come with a whole bunch of seals, while others with just one main gasket seal. Thx in advance.

Thanks Boof-m3. You're a great contributor to this forum!

I'll be doing knocking this out next weekend. Anything else recommended for me to do while I'm doing the valve cover gaskets?

I replaced mine but also replaced the cover as well. when you purchase the cover from BMW the gasket comes with it. A nice thing to do while you are replacing the gasket as well.

$608.60 that was with taxes included
But I also had a discount so I think it might be slightly more

Did the new cover not have that odd coating on the inside? At 10 years, mine is all funky mustard like on the inside and seems to be bubbly.

Powder coat the outside of your valve covers.

What does that have to do with my question about the inside of the valve cover?

Did you replace them? How did it go for you?

If your inside is peeling from the magnesium coating, might be best off to replace it as well while your at it.

This is what I did. Next time it becomes an issue, I'll just have my original covers refinished for zero extra downtime.
