'11 e90 m3 sound system
Just ordered my e90 m3 ED. Hoping for march trip to Europe. Here's my question - I'm stewing over whether to upgrade to the enhanced sound package. Thoughts?? Say I decide to do the upgrade aftermarket - any audio shop suggestions in nova?
Thx, Jwg |

yes, get it. It will not only sound better than the standard, but it will accent the interior of your car, plus be better for resale value.
Otherwise there is always aftermarket solutions, but you would have to dismantle some interior parts....so why bother

I listened to both for an hour back-to-back and in the end didnt think it was worth 2k.
I went with the base system and still happy with it. Of course i dont listen to music at higher volumes anymore. The base is kinda weak when played really loud though. Prefer to listen to my exhaust instead. There are tons of threads like this so do a search and you will see others thoughts.

I'm not the type of guy that likes to mess with electronics much (as in wiring cars), so I opted to just get the premium sound as I would feel less inclined to upgrade it later. I am impressed with the sound I must say. Definitely don't feel any need for more then what the premium system has to offer

I got the premium sound though, but only b/c I didn't have a choice when I got my car. I would gladly not pay the premium for the system if I could. But then again, I"m the type that listens to talk radio in my car... |

Same goes here.. my car came equiped with it,.
The dealer ended up throwing it in to settle my business. I would have never option it in, but quite happy with the end results. Does it sound better? Well considering the standard, Yeah it does? Its just a good selling point. Do I really listen to it much, not really since I use ipod and dont care for paying for satellite radio, when I can get it free. |
