MPE Perforated Tip-Swap?

Need opions:
I recently installed the Gintani catless x-pipe coupled with my MPE. Rather than revert back to a stock exhaust to curb the rasp I am thinking that the majority of the rasp emits from the Iconel perforated tips. Theory tells me to swap these perforated tips with perhaps the BMW black chrome tips which are non-perforated to help reduce the rasp. Of course my testing this theory will run approx $500 and also alter the MPE affecting a potential re-sale. I know the internals of both exhausts are different, but I seriously believe that changing the perforated MPE tips will help.
Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

I doubt changing the tips would change the sound at all.

Yeah, my shop guy said the same thing.
I'm gonna swap with the stock exhaust and give that a whirl.

The stock exhaust with a catless xpipe has crazy rasp!

The MPE on its own is quite raspy already.
So not surprised that you are getting rasp sound from a cat less xpipe

Correct.

Install properly-sized resonators.

Yeah, but not nearly as bad as what I've got going on.

Huh? I had absolutely ZERO rasp/drone with the MPE and OEM x-pipe. That sound was most awesome!

MPE with stock X pipe sounds very good but with a catless X pipe sounds horrible.

The MPE on its own is quite (subjective) raspy already. Didn't say it was droney.
So not surprised that you are getting rasp sound from a cat-less pipe (again, didn't say it was getting rasp from stock OEM x-pipe, but from a cat less one

When you guys are talking about catless x-pipes are you referring to primary and secondary catless or just primary?

primary & secondary & OEM resonators: a straight x-pipe without any HFC's.
