Dinan intake or AA green filter only ?

Yes, did my search before and find only positive comments on both ítems

Dinan is $ 750.00 shipped now

AA filter only is $ 95.00 or so

What do you think ?

I think you should make the decision as it's your $$$.

Not much to be had over the "look" of the Dinan pipe.

this is a post that has some good info about drop in filters vs. full intakes

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=911012

I asked the same question except for the MS Stage 2 intake (which is around $500)

I'd go with AA. It's $100, if you feel like that's not enough, buy the Dinan.

Both the Dinan and MS intakes make equal power, it's simply a matter of preference if you want OEM look (textured finish) or Carbon Fiber.

+1 AA Filter and test pipe

I have this combo and love it, planning on ordering another AA filter and cleaning supplies so i can switch it when i clean one and let it dry.

Being that I have had both... Here is my $0.02.

I had the AA filter first and maybe felt an ever so slight difference in power at WOT, and the raspy intake sound establishes itself from 3k-4200 rpm.

I then went with the Dinan to smooth out that raspy intake sound and hopefully feel a bump in power. The dinan is beautiful engine candy and does have a slightly deeper and smoother intake sound (but the rasp is still there). The power difference is not noticeable over the AA filter on my butt dyno.

My advice is, if you are going for power, either is fine. If you going for aesthetics, look no further than the dinan.

Pull it and check it for debris. Tap it and clean it with our green filter cleaning kit if the color is starting to turn dark green or even black.

We usually clean them every oil change but it depends on your environment . In miami we find a ton of sand, leaves and cigarette butts very often .

Never had the dinan but I just did the aa filter and noticed a difference. Maybe because I was on a clogged 30k 2008 filter.

Regardless, it's a little noisier which I like but it's maybe not as sophisticated, and makes power. I can feel it.
