Neat. This is the one thing that annoys the hell out of me running a 10"+ front wheel - tire sticks way the hell out in the air. Fine for something like the ZL1LE that can just punch the air in the face, less so for a 350whp car that trades on aero efficiency to go fast

The undertray is version 1 of everything, so its kinda rough, time and track time will tell how far will it all go... splitter is a Sneed4Speed product. Still waiting on their wing.

Anybody closed their cowl? This makes perfect sense to me the way the E9x cowl is arranged

I thought the goal was to let a little air out? What's the theory?

Keep high pressure out from under the trailing edge of the hood, reduce size of region of high pressure where windshield meets hood (venting a hood by the windshield pushes air forward and down, not back and up, this is why cowl induction is a thing)

Also inclined to believe this would provide some aero benefit on E9x's. We've experimented pulling the rubber seal & other pieces out of the way in the rear of the bay - wanted to see if it would help expel heat but had the opposite effect. Windshield wipers would be my concern though.

Sadly I need them. Was a pain in the butt first time it rained after I took them off. Also I was only able to get 4 laps in like this before I was black flagged.

seems like a cowl cover to the windshield would be an easy temporary add-on. get some of that race seat foam and a big ass bag- activate the foam in the bag, place it on the cowl, and shut the hood. once cured, shave to the desired shape and you now have a removable piece that you could secure for track days...

or maybe even riv-nut the underhood support and use some wing nut bolts to secure some sort of flexible rubber apron that runs up the lower part of the windshield...

Finally getting around to repairing and upgrading the splitter I made for this car a few years ago. My good friend Ryan owns Zebulon MSC and built the wing that’s on my car as well as the splitter for my E36. I gave him this splitter in bad shape and he not only fixed it up but added strength and the diffusers. Really excited to try it out with the new bits installed... my car definitely needs the front aero to help balance the wing.
