Why is the price often an argument to compare the Kumhos with the MPPS?
If they will last only half the time of the MPPS, then this argument is invalid.

Don't get me wrong, other manucators have also great products. There is absolutly no doubt abut this;-)
But: it is hard for me to imagine that a Kumho has similar performance ratings to a Continental or a Michelin;-)

Kumho makes race tires they also make the latest gen ACR tires, which are fantastic (far more grip than Cup 2s). Their entire line isn't great but some it is, food for thought.

So I went out of my way to get these tires last month for the $60 rebate and now there's a $75 rebate this month!!

These tires are beefy. I love the way the look and so far they seem to stick well, but I can't say how good they really are since I've only done street driving with them. They're pretty quiet and the ride is not harsh at all. I went with 285/30-19 in back and now I'm rubbing when the suspension compresses. The wheels are 19x10, et 22 and I'm lower on coilovers so the wheels just barely tuck under the fender, so I'm sure that contributes to the slight rubbing. I'm sure the square and beefy sidewalls also contribute. I haven't had time to see where it's rubbing in the wheel well yet.

I'm one who feels pretty much any max performance tire is fine for the street, so to comes down ride quality, noise and price. These are even cheaper than the V12evo2's and there's a nice rebate too. Only time will tell how they wear. Overall, I'm very happy with the tire, but I'll get 275/35 in back next time.

Do you rub in back when the suspension is compressed? Like during dips?

I only put around 40 street miles on it and did not notice anything.

A few months back people were asking about these tires on the track, so I thought I'd pitch in with my two cents.

As a road tire they're fine. I'd put them on par with the v12 evo2s.

I've done two track days on the PS91s - one at Streets of Willow, a small, tight road course. And one at "Big Willow," a flowing high-speed circuit with some very fast corners.

To be clear, these are not track tires. But the car is new to me and this is the set that it came with, so I figured I'd try them out while I wait to pick out my set of dedicated track wheels and tires.

I was really unimpressed with the PS91s at Streets of Willow. It felt and sounded like they were constantly complaining about the rapid changes of direction by a pretty heavy car. Understeer galore on a couple of the downhill braking turns.

Big Willow was a different story. Through the high-speed corners they held on really well for a street tire. Sure I would have been faster on an RS3 or NT05, but they were plenty grippy and mostly predictable all day. I had a lot of fun with them. But I had a pretty unsettling moment when I lost the rear end in the middle of turn 8 at Willow Springs at about 115mph... not from weight transfer but just from reaching the limit of grip.

Ultimately the car is just so powerful and capable that, if you're going to push it at the track, you need tires that can keep up (and brakes too, but that's another story). The tread is completely spent after these two track events and about 5,000 miles of street driving. But if you're just going to go to the track once and enjoy yourself without worrying about lap times I think you'd be pretty satisfied with these.

These tires are more blocky and square compared to PSS. I rub a little with the GTS sizing, but I'm lowered.

Trying these now for street tires. For the money, they are a steal. Also, I drive on the street with -2.5 camber, so wearing these out on the edges will make me feel less like crap than with my PSS.

These handle GREAT.

Every bit of street grip as PSS with FAR nicer steering and sharpness.

Sidewall is stiff - so it does lose a little bit with comfort. But they turn beautifully.

Can't tell a difference between RE11 and this on street and the PS91 only have 40 miles on them...

I went ahead with these tires.. 255/35 and 275/35 on AG M359 wheels. Lowered on Eibach springs.

The fronts are offset 18 and with 255/35, I am also getting slight rub with full lock turns. Have not check where exactly rubbing yet.
No rubs at all with dips.

I would like to ask for those that are running these PS91, what psi do you have for normal road driving?
The shop that mounted the tires, they had it set at 44 psi cold.

I have 285/30-19 (GTS fitment) and rub in back on dips only. Front 255/35-19 is ok on my 19x10 et 22 wheels. I think I have mine around 38psi cold but should really check again.

I left mine at stock factory PSI and seems just fine (GTS spec tire, ZCP pressures)
