F80 M3 Kidney Grille + Badge to be fitted on E9X M3

Hey guys, I've been looking everywhere for the F80 M3 grille + badge to be fitted on to my E90 M3 sedan but can't seem to find. Love the f80 M3 badge to be on the front of e90 M3 sedan. Seen some online but they are huge and simply with the M logo (not M3). If anyone knows where to get it, kindly share..

It would be awesome if it did, but I don't think something like this exists yet. I've looked too

If only tom @ eas could tell us where/how they fitted the smaller F8X kidney badge on their Frozen Blue E92 M3...

Get rid of it. It looks tacky and even the smaller F80 one looks tacky.

The F80 badge is molded into the grill.

The logo doesn't look right. It's distracting and looks like a cheap add-on. The car has enough M emblems already, no need for one in the front grille too.

F80 M3 grille badge on E92

I modded mine. Cut off the slats to create the new look. Buy the new OEM F80 M3 grilles (found mine on ebay). Take off the small M3 badge (it's not molded, just use some dental floss to remove), and study the "bridge" between the slats where the badge sits. Create a similar one on your grille. Use super strong 3M automotive adhesive tape (use the thinnest one) to mount the badge. You can then sell the badge-less F80 grilles to recover some costs.

I think going OEM is the best, since nothing out there looks "right". Some quick iPhone shots:

Looks fresh and just the right amount of accent on the front. Like someone said- not sure we need badging on all sides of the car, but it looks clean. Thinking it might even look better on mine since its all Jerez Black vs. Gray & Black.

I think it comes down to whether people like accent logos on their polo shirts - like the small Polo icon or plain.

Isn't there enough M badges all over the car already?

Maybe. I like that BMW brought back the M3 grille badge (like the E30). I like it better because it's smaller. I think it's not only whether there are enough M badges, but it's also about aesthetics. And yes, it may not appeal to everyone. I wasn't sure either when I started this, but now it's on, I'm leaving it.
