328xi plugged cats

I have a 2007 bmw 328xi I had recently purchased and had the timing redone on it, it runs but not well as the cats grow red hot. I believe this to be a combination of plugged cats and an injector issue but am wondering if anyone has ever had this issue as well? It does not care to start currently either.

n52s have this issue where the cat clogs. you can check it with a obd tool and see what the o2 sensors are reading up and downstream. hopefully you can pick up a set of cats used, on the n52 you can pull the stock cats out the top without removing the ac line off the compressor.

This is the M3 forum, try using the regular E90 forum.

As stated above, you'll have more luck on the e90 forum rather than then M3. BUT, on another note, I have a set of factory cats (primary) from a 2008 328i that I'd love to sell you so shoot me a message if interested 😉

I haven't really thought of that honestly. On ebay they are going for like $350-400. So I'd be down to sell them a little bit less than that (plus shipping).
