GTR or Jag F-R AWD
The Jag is pretty much the same price, has all the traction, all the power, one of the most gorgeous designs on the road, arguably the nicest stock exhaust note on the road, a ceramic brake option and a much greater amount of customization.

Jag F R for sure. Great design. Unique. GTR is getting long in the tooth.
Think about it like this. What are you using the car for? Jags and Audi R8 have a certain class behind it at that price range making it a beautiful, desirable car. Taking your lady out on a dinner? Jag F R will win for any occasion. |

How's the Jag reliability these days? I know their brand has been revamped over the last 5 years, but sometimes the past creeps up on us...

I drove the RWD version, even it says 550 HP but the car feels damn slow for that kind of horsepower. Handling is not there either. The look tho, the best looking coupe in the market right now.
F-type is more like a cruiser while GTR is a pure performance car. They having nothing in common other than the numbers on spec sheets. |

The Jag is a perfect old fart car! Never seen a person under 50 driving one. GT-R is for a much younger demo...

That used to be the case for sure, but the F-type is a different car, and Jag is definitely working to change that image. I am approaching 50 soon anyway, so its just as well for me !!

I was looking into a F type R AWD. I think its overall a perfect car. Comes with a great sounding V8, 2 seats, beautiful looks etc...
But there is something about the GTR. It is such a legendary car, and everyone talks about them. They are also very tune friendly for people who like to mod, like my self. I am actually looking into a GTR. I also love how rare a GTR is on the road, i never see them. I feel like they are only affordable by older people, but younger people want them. Which is why GTRs don't sell as well as Porsche. |

The car looks awesome, it's just perfect looking car, no mistake. But if we go down the list, it's kinda understandable why they would make a 550hp jag looking this good, but only go for $110k. Interior: It looks good and sporty with the gold contrast and cockpit design. However, once you sitting in it, you will realize it's all BS. The material feel really cheap, even FRS has way better material than the F-R. The steering wheel too damn huge, you can't really hold the steering tight at all, the angle is not quite direct to the driver seating position either. For interior complaints I can go on and on, the design is against human society. After driving the car for awhile I realized the car is not for performance driving, all the numbers and advertising just fooling you. The car should be driven with one hand like a badass rapper. Drive like you don't give a fuck, then you will enjoy driving it. Performance: The car looks like sports car but it's not. It's a GT cruiser. You can drive hours after hours and still happy with it. Very relax and comfortable, effortless to drive. It's not like M cars, you don't need to push it to limited to enjoy every bit of fun. You can drive it like a lazy man and listen to the exhaust bark. Actually its not so much fun when you pushing it because the chassis set up isn't up for racing or anything like that. It's just for cruising around with out manner. Cruising with your lady, cruising with your dog, or just simply cruising it without any purpose. If I had to buy an f-type, I might just go with the regular V6 version. It sounds equally awesome. Since it's slower, so when you make the exhaust barking, it will bark longer before you get into troubles. But again, for $30k differences you can get another 200hp, that's a bargain. F-R seems a better buy on the spec sheet. To sum it up, I wouldn't buy the F-type for its performance. If I were to buy one, which most likely will, I will buy it for the experience. |

[QUOTE=LarThaL;17442856]Definitely on the lady for dinner...QUOTE]
GT-R is not for you. It would be if your answer sounded like "taking lady to the track". Seriously. Jag F-R AWD is a creature of comfort. GT-R is a creature of pure performance: "anyone, anywhere, anytime"...

Two very different cars... and just because the Jag is AWD doesn't mean that it will put the power down as well as a GTR.

[QUOTE=krzykk;17458293]But I want all the performance AND all the sophistication. I guess a 911 turbo S is my only option.
