F13 640i or E90 M3
I was completely confident in picking cars before this but this one shakes me to the bones.
Do I go with a stacked-more-than-I-possibly-could-imagine classic E90 from the year of 2011 incorporating my love of E9Xs? I also have the option - a pretty much 2012 640i which i'm pretty sure is in pretty good shape. https://www.carmax.com/car/16708421 Forgive the weird website. or something, really IDK. I call this the something: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=219078101 So pretty much I had given up on the thought that I'd find the perfect ///M and I kinda relegated myself to finding something inferior so that I could say I always pretty much could upgraded to my model at sometime. But my problem is that my model is usually a coupe which presents problems as most of you know. So here is my first choice. ( not in order) It's pretty much over the top I... can follow most upgrades but it has a few finer points I don't really get. and (I pretty much would have to get a white wrap) This is the oil report http://oi66.tinypic.com/11qlp8l.jpg Was a 2011. Think LCI. It would be a shame to pass on this one. http://oi63.tinypic.com/mbohe8.jpg This is the http://oi68.tinypic.com/2r5ue8o.jpg The price on the 640i (24,300) or so is pretty nice and I pretty much only go for white interiors. This M3 is the one of my actual expectations. never would i expect to find an another one so fully modded but I love the coupe door. |

These are completely different cars. I'm guessing the majority of us would never cross shop the two, and we are clearly biased to the M3. If you are cross shopping the two then my initial guess is that you should probably get the 640i. However, I suggest extensively test driving both to understand which meets your needs/desires.

If you like the 640i, the E90M3 is probably not for you. Not as torquey around town, not as supple ride, not as comfortable, etc.

the 640i has 315 HP and weighs 2 tons. I know, rated HP or torque shouldn't be the biggest factor in choosing a car... but for such a large BMW, I'd at least want some straightline fun... just my opinion..

E9x M3 and 640i are too different to compare!
I is a high revving track worthy average weight sporty car with a special engine that's mostly fun when revved out regularly while the 640i is a heavier, more comfortable, more luxurious touring type of car with a common Inline turbo 6 cyl engine. Ask yourself, what are you looking for? |
