The options list is updated too. Altough it is still missing the ZCP.
How did you copy the pic from the site and place it in the post?

Let me join this thread as I had to reorder my car today and I'm very fearful that it will not make week 50 Production schedule.. :-(

Praying Praying it makes it out of Germany by end of year...

Anybody know how long it takes to build once they start?

My car was ordered on 11/26 but was flexed from another car the dealer had scheduled for week 47. My status just changed today from on order to production. Week 50 might be close. Depends on the length of the holiday shut down (if at all) where the M's are produced.

I would expect they would stop incomplete orders and finish them
after the break. They are not going to rust......

1-800-831-1117.

It's the number for BMW North America Customer Service. When you call there is an automated option for checking vehicle production status.

I called. My car is in the body shop with an estimated completion date of Dec. 13. I am assuming that is a completion date for production, not just a body shop completion date.

Gettin' all kinds of giddy over here.

It's 8 weeks from order date. They sometimes come in a little quicker. But it really should be 8 weeks max.

I am starting to think about delivery.

Does anyone know if you work with the same service advisor and tecnician each time the car is serviced, and if so, are you introduced to these people when you take delivery of the car.

If this is the case, I would like to take each one a small gift (maybe a bottle of wine or a gift card) when I take delivery of my car. It's always a good idea to show appreciation to the people who provide you service.

During the construction of my house I took bagels and donuts to the site every morning and one day a week I bought lunch for everyone on site. The money I spent on food for the contractors was probably the best money ever spent.

You can work with the same advisor, but he/she may have several techs that work in their stable. Best advice would be to ask around your area and find out what tech has the best reputation. I had the same tech for 10 years even though my advisors changed due to workforce reduction (right). Also, don't take gifts this early in the game. They need to earn them first. Last piece of advice...make a attempt to meet the service manager. This will become invaluable in the future.......Phil
