Me too! When did you order and what specs? Do you think we'll take delivery before new years? I think that's too optimistic..

I think so actually. Dealer said most likely last week or possibly two of the year with only a slight chance of it spilling into the new year. At this point it depends on how quickly it gets on a vessel after it's produced. I hear vessel leave every 3-4 days for the US. So if one happens to leave next week, then it's a shoe in. Maybe I'm being too optimistic

I checked the schedules at Wallenius Wilhelmsen (shipping company). My car will likely be coming in through the New York port. Here are the ships departing Bremerhaven on their way to New York over the next few weeks:

It seems unlikely that we will make the ship tomorrow... although that would be AWESOME. More likely I am guessing is making the ship on the 24th, or December 1st. For those of us on the east coast of the US that means we will likely see our cars about the last week of December (assuming holiday schedules do not push us into next year).

^^ Great idea! Here it is for the west coast. It'd be great if we made the 20th too, but I hear it can take 3-4 days to arrive at Bremerhaven. So looks like I was too optimistic... first week of the new year for us socal-ers... (unless we're with a different shipper that is!!!)

Your SA should have it, it gets created when they put the order in the system.

There are some FAQs around that state this, but unfortunately it's incorrect. The production number gets created when you place your order, the VIN is created only when the car goes into production.

Hmmm, just called and said the fucker was in the paint shop!? How much longer till it goes to assembly then complete? still saying the 19th which is today

From what I understand that should mean that you will be done today, but some of the steps happen so quickly it either won't get updated and gets skipped or you might miss the update since it happens so quickly (unless you're calling in over and over nonstop )

Same thing for me yesterday, the status never changed from paint booth and then it was complete and on the dock waiting exit port.

Curious, any of you guys notice the status change intra-day? Now that I think about it, I don't remember ever calling in and having a different status than earlier in the same day. Perhaps the phone system updates overnight to whatever the then-current status is.

Just checked and talked to a representative, apparently they do update every night at midnight so it is somewhat a day off. My car is updated as Production finished/QA check and awaiting transport

Yep, mine is awaiting transport too. Maybe we'll be on the same boat?

And I agree, the waiting does hurt!
