I would run what roast beef said of 26 cold. I was starting off a little higher for a long time and found myself at 26 cold as a there sweet spot. I believe if you check them right at pit exit you can get the accurate pressure hot. Would put you at 33-34 hot your looking for.

28 or 29 depending on the temp that day. Target hot pressure of 33-34 seems to be the optimal after a fair amount of testing.

Ran 28 cold - 35/36 hot. Never felt greasy until the end of day last session.

Hoosiers - both R7 & A7 - their recommended hot pressures still trip me up. 40-42+ for cars over 3000lbs. Does anyone here run that high? And then you see people running them down in the 29-31 hot range. I've only run towards the higher psi preferring to start out with the manufacturers recommendation at first as a baseline. I know the best way to figure it out is to experiment with it myself - but just wondering what others are doing here that run these tires. Looking at bouncing between one of the Hoosier flavors & Pirelli DH's for a bit depending on event/purpose.

I run my street car with R7 40-42 hot. Any lower and the carcass buckles/you see a wave across the tire.

Sounds about right. My car is probably a bit lighter then yours - assuming yours is still a street car (mine is stripped out), which would make the 1-2psi difference understandable.

Did you get the fancy pressed in wheel studs unit? They had not been released when I had mine replaced a few weeks ago.

Original, most likely. A 2002 chassis with 105k miles. The last 10k miles have basically all been track miles.

Yup! No more broken wheel studs now either. I'll do the rears later.

That is just unfair! 😡

I guess if I think about it I'll probably replace them again sometime next spring or summer because I just wear things out that quickly.

Yay something else to spend money on 😃

The faster i go the faster things break or need replacing. Did i tell you the entire suspension every nut and bolt will be safety wired. It only took about 60 minutes for the front right wheel to develop a nasty wobble. And that is with safety nuts, loctite and proper torque. I'm lucky it didn't fall off :

I keep losing section 1 exhaust bolts. They have become a consumable at this point.

Sounds like you've got a lot of safety wire. Hopefully roastbeef found you a good deal on some titanium safety wire...

What if you're under 3000 lbs?

I won't have any problem getting the proper wire. It's more about the labor to drill out each but and bolt to do it properly. Plus I have a very good relationship with AR Motorsports.
