To Remove spoiler:

1. Clean the area
2. Use heat gun to heat it up (make sure not to damage the paint; do it in sections, 3-5 inches at a time)
3. Use fishing line to separate the spoiler form the trunk
4. Use 3M adhesive remover to clean the trunk

To install CF spoiler:

1. Use BMW Betalink-K1 (BMW pn 82-69-9-408-866)
2. Read directions

It should look like this when you done !

Just curious, is there a published increase in downforce with this spoiler? It doesn't appear much different than the OEM.

Betalink is the strong stuff and a lot more difficult to remove compared to 3M heavy duty tape. My friend had his spoiler on his e90 attached with betalink and someone tried to steal the spoiler and ended up breaking a piece of the spoiler along with damaging the trunk.

The ZCP spoiler is angled higher then stock spoiler and at the high speed should increase the downforce.

When you use BMW Betalink K1 or K2, the part can't be removed. That stuff if very strong.

Betalink K1 is the special BMW glue and it doesn't come with the spoiler.

Hey guys after I installed my CF Rear spoiler with the BetaLink I still have glue on the rear part of the spoiler. Little splace is there to work. Whats the most safest way and with what to remove the glue excess?

i think i used some of the solvent that came with the betalink to clean off any spots.
Alternatively i suppose that lacquer thinner would work.

Yeah I used it but I'm almost running out of it. I will check if thinner will help and won't damage the rear lip.

Thanks!

I beleive you have to break it into pieces if you want to remove it. So givit back with that spoiler and sell the OEM. Its only $460

Or install it with 3M automotive tape... The OEM spoiler is installed with tape...so why not?

Because this spoiler is 'taller' than the lower-profile OEM spoiler. It would be easier to pop off it were just held on with 3M tape.

It's most definitely not being "popped off" even with 3M tape. If someone tries hard enough, they'll break it off with betalink too... So what's the difference really?
