I just wanted to verify: when we flash a more aggressive map and clear adaptations, does the DME incrementally try to reach the new targets or start with the new targets and back down if it "detects issues"? I would think it's the former but wanted to make sure.

Alex is the man. Originally got my tune from him way back in 2014 when I was still living in CA but have since moved out of state. I wanted to update to his latest optimizations of the tune and also check out some burble action so I purchased a cable from Alex. He sent superb instructions and I got everything updated remotely without a hitch. Car is running like a raped ape.
Thanks again Alex; great to see so many people running your tune on the forums nowadays! |

Incrementally. If you flash/clear adaptions on a E9X M3 throw it on a dyno the first pull is usually a dud. Not until the 4th+ you start seeing gains. 200+ miles of driving you'll feel the car to run smoother and faster to response.

It won’t erase the the GTS flash. Charging the car the night before is fine. The motor tune probably takes 10 min from start to finish

If this is the 1st tune you are loading, it actually takes about an hour to make a backup file, 45 min, load 241e, 7 min, and then the tune, another 7 min. I kept a charger on it at 20 amps.

FWIW I backed up the stock file, loaded 241e, and the tune with no tender attached. No issues. I did turn everything off and shut all the doors while everything was running.

E85 tune from Alex has improved my 1/4 mile time! I went from a 13.9 at 102mph, to a 13.5 at 104mph. On top of this improvement his customer service is great. Quick responses and great product. Will be doing DCT flash soon.

I’m getting an error code when trying to load the e85 file that says “error initializing hardware crypto routine” . My car is now full of e85 so I’m a bit stuck . Any ideas?
