All in all an amazing tool
As a prospective M3 buyer, that may be very useful. I may buy one just to pre-check the one I buy. Then have it for all the other handiness.

Looks like the adapter version for iphone/ipad is not even on Amazon anymore.
Any idea how we are supposed to find out when it's back in stock?

Does anyone have any clarification on what you can do with the Lite vs Paid version of the app?

Just pay for it, it's worth all of the coding features... I wish that you could code out the cold start heat pump cycle- that would be awesome!

If I understand correctly, your personal device connects to the OBDII dongle via wifi, with Bluetooth turned off? Theoretically I could install Carly on an older android tablet (nexus7), which doesn't have cellular capabilities and use that?

Also, there are no coding or functionality differences between android/iOS?

Yes you understood it correctly, only downside you'd had is your non-update-ability.

As for coding differences:
I don't think any out of the world differences but just to make sure, better check it on their site.

What I meant by the non-cellular capability was that I don't have to have cellular data during the coding process. For example, with a phone you can have data on and be connected to the car via Bluetooth. Thus, my question is do you need cellular data for the coding process?

If an ipad ( without cellular capabilities and only wifi ) would work, then why should you with your nexus tablet, run into troubles?

It's not a matter or Nexus vs iPad, my question was simply that does the carly app & ODB connection to the car require any sort of internet connectivity. It seems that it does not, so problem solved.
