Fumoto Oil Drain Valve, Anyone Have One?

Curious if anyone has ran with one of these on their M. I see quite a few users that have issues with stripped oil pan threads here and there on the forum, and this may prevent issues in the future.

Never mind. I found a previous thread about these and it seems that they stick too far down, and could possibly hit something. Not worth the risk.

Well, actually, there are different variations of the drain plug and I think they have one that may not stick down. I have it installed on my honda civic and I couldn't be happier. Haven't taken the plunge with the M3, but either way I think it's great!

I think it is fine if you change your own oil. I do. But if you go to an oil change place or a shop that is not careful, they may do damage. Yes, it seems simple. But the guys changing oil usually are not the good mechanics. They are the trainees.

If you've ever dealt with the stripped oil pan, one gets that way when tightening the plug!
