Finally Found my E92- Melbourne Red 8k miles

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2013-bmw-m3-92/

Finally found a great spec after searching for almost a year.

This is my 3rd E92 and hopefully my favorite.

More of a question of how long do I go keeping it unmolested and no mods.

Very nice!!! It's refreshing to see prices are still reasonable on BAT. I thought this is a 65k car all day long. I think you got a fine specimen there!

Congrats!!

Congrats! I was following the auction - glad it went to someone here on the forum. Great spec.

Considering the low mileage I thought you did very well on the final bid.

Clearly worth it. Time capsule for sure. Congrats Petrol!!

Also importantly this is a standard paint color option and not a limited edition or customized color. It is not a "rare" spec or a limited edition (ie Lime Rock, Frozen, etc). It is an absolutely pristine condition ZCP car with low miles. That is what commands value. If it has rare paint, it might command a little more. But the value is in the condition of the car, first and foremost.

I hope so. If a dealer was selling this outright they would have had it listed for $75k

you keep it as is and barely drive it and it will continue to appreciate in value.

you start modifying it and bring the miles up and the value starts to drop substantially.

That's what I would do if it was mine. Once you hit 10k, the game and players change.

Wow what a car, congrats Petrol! 8k miles must be one of the "newest" to be found. Quick spray on the inside and it will smell like coming straight from the fab!

Agree with "mileage increases value drops", however, high quality upgrades/mods that don't distract and enhance the true character of the vehicle bring value (as seen in previous auctions). Anyway, great acquisition and what a great spec'd E92.

Maybe to some buyers but not all. It will definitely limit the number of ballers looking for a time capsule sub 10k example.
