Avoid Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Minnesota!!

When purchasing my M3 last January one of the biggest downsides of the car was definitely the curbed wheels. This April I had decided to get them refinished by a shop in the Twin Cities area known as Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Minnesota. I specifically decided on going with them because they had the most google reviews, and the vast majority were positive. I dropped off my 359m zcp wheels to get refinished in Hyper Silver on April 12, and was quoted a price of $752 which I thought was very reasonable. On April 26 I got my wheels back and to say the finish was terrible would be an understatement. The finish looked gritty, rough, and had absolutely terrible orange peel everywhere. Where the center caps go the paint was lifting and chipping off. I voiced my dissatisfaction with the end result and they agreed to refinish the wheels a second time. Another issue I should mention is you have to call them for updates instead of having them notify you your wheels are ready to be picked up. Very poor communication on their part. The second time around they had my wheels for 3 weeks and in the process of removing and installing my tires punctured a hole on the inner sidewall of my right rear tire. There goes another $350 for damage they caused. There's still a lot of orange peel on the second refinish but at this point, this is the best I'm probably going to get out of them. Mind you this place is a 35 min drive from where I live so this whole ordeal took 4 one hour round trips, a punctured tire, and cost $1,100. I would have just lived with the curbed wheels knowing the hassle I went through with this business.
