What are the funniest compliments you have gotten about your car

I was getting out of my car and this Guido pulls up next to me and goes "Fockin beautiful (in a Rocky Balboa voice)"

Some 75 year old Spanish guy "Beautiful car, are those 22's?" I have 19's.

A guy pulled up next to me at a light and goes "Dayummmm" and does the "not worthy" bow.

Some middle aged guy in a Volvo. "Nice car, is that a body kit?"

Not about me, but saw some guy with an e46 m3 and asked, are you going to M-FEST?
He said "what?"
I repeated.
He then replied, "oh ya, this car is FAST!"

I had gotten into a tight spot without tools and had to limp to the nearest mechanic. The owner of the shop saw my car and said,

"Is that a real M car or did you just badge it?"

Is it a compliment if someone thinks your M3 is a 335? ;p

I had a guy at a toll plaza yell out to me once. "Hey man, what does the speedo go up to?" I replied, "200mph". He said, "Whoa that's Forumla 1 speed"

I drove the ///M to work one day (usually drive a Company SUV) and one of my employees said "Nice car. Is that a Volkswagen?"



I was so caught off guard (& shocked) I could barely even respond "No...it's a....."

I was getting detail supplies at Pep Boys today and the cashier asked if that was my M3 outside, I said yes. He was so in awe I honestly thought he was gonna faint. It was like he saw Bigfoot or a Veyron. He was a cool dude tho and I was flattered.

I could almost understand it if I lived in a remote area, but there a WAY nicer cars in my area (Long Island). I can't imagine how annoying it is for the Lambo/Ferrari guys.

Within my first day of ownership, I head to a gas station. The attendant, high schooler?, was so giddy as I pulled up.

His voice was cracking as he asked me questions. I don't think he could have stood up straight.


Oh and yesterday, I got my car inspected. The inspectors were awesome and even offered to take care of my car if I go on vacation.

The bagboy at the supermarket today that commandeered my cart, when he saw my car his jaw dropped. As he was walking away he turned and said... "Take good care of her man, drive safe".

I get more compliments driving my 13 Raptor that I get in my e92 M3 or the Viper or the 911TT. The 2006 VCA Viper was a serious head turner and the 911 was just blah.

I parked my car in the neighbors driveway the other week while I was getting my driveway done. They are an elderly couple and they don't have a vehicle. When I went to retrieve my car the old lady came out and said "this is a beautiful car what is it?"

Also had a few situations where strangers seriously asked if they could drive my car - like kid working the front desk at the tire shop.

I had a guy at the exhaust shop as me if it was turboed.

I've also had people ask me if the color was Individual, which is pretty flattering

I really like the Raptor especially the extended cab, IMO looks a lot sportier then the crew cab, its the best lookn truck ever.

I have been offered BJs in exchange for a ride by two young ladies in a dodge neon. But they were not my type. And also, I was in the Aston, not the M3 so we would have had to take turns (it's a 2 seater).

When i exit the freeway and come to the first red light crossing i like to choose fairly high rpm rev matching on 3rd and even 2nd gears downshifts or overdo it a little (one of the perks of MT). It's just something i enjoy doing for myself. I often see wide open eyes, jaw dropping looks, followed by an appreciative stare from other drivers especially those who had the window rolled down. I actually have stock exhaust !
I also get "what a beautiful car !" compliment once in while at the pump. I do keep it detailed and enjoy doing it thanks to AGeek.

When I was filling up gas this morning a guy asked me if my car was the new 4 series. I'm like ummm, "no". He goes and walks around my car and goes oh nice car anyway. This guy clearly has no idea what an M3 is or looks like for that matter.
