Rear Bench Install

I had to remove the entire rear seating in my E90 and no cannot for the life of me reinstall the rear bench .

Everything else went back in smoothly and now it is just the bench left. I understand it is basically two clips, however they do not seem to lock into place when I push down on the seat? I've removed these before on other BMWs and reinstall was as straight forward as pushing down.

I don't see any damage to the clips, but perhaps something is damaged or I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

Lol I have even tried using my body weight and still no luck. I can feel the clips trying to engage, but just not budging. To confirm, there are only the two, correct?

You need to line up the clip in a way that pushing it will make it go into its place. It is not just pushing harder.

Use a bit of soap or wd-40 type lubricant

I'll try some soap, thanks for the suggestion.

There isn't anything aside from the 3 seat buckles I need to worry about impeding fitment, correct?
