**Stained Window Trim...How to Restore**

Guys,
The window trim on both sides of my car seems to be stained with possibly the soap/clearcoat from a touchless car wash. I can rub my thumb on some areas and it comes off and somewhat looks brand new, but it takes a while.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue, and if so, what did you use to get it off and how did you do? If you haven't had this issue, any thoughts or recommendations on how to remove?

Thanks in advance guys.

Mike

I would try any of the nonabrasive paint cleaners like p21s paintwork cleanser, or poorboys proffessional polish, or even autoglym super resin poish, or chemical guys ez glaze II apply with a microfiber and see how it goes. Sorry about any typos doing this on my crackberry

meg plastix works like a charm.

then wax on put a sealant on the trim and you'll never hear from it again.

yes, that's what i'm talking about. and thanks for all the suggestions guys. i actually found some cleaner/polish called something "spirits" that my buddy uses on his motorcycles. it basically took all of it off with only a few minor blemishes, but looks a HELL of a lot better now. i just need to put a little more elbow grease into it and i should be good to go. i just tried it real quick last night before i went to bed so didn't really give 100%. i'll post the name of that product when i get home.

I had the same issue. I used some Meguiars M105 with an orange pad and it came right off. Looks 100x better now. I followed up with M205 on a white for that nice added shine.
