Did you push long enough on the engine stop button? You have to give it a long-ish push when you shut down. If you just give it a quick jab the engine stops but the electronics don't shut off and that runs your battery flat.

Sh** Happens unfortunately. Just try and keep the right perspective on stuff. It is just a car, and not something more serious.

Nah it turns off before the battery completly dies out at least my 335i does. I always forget to turn everything off when I get in my garage and I've yet to have a problem.

shit happens? what's gonna happen when it won't start up on a roadtrip or anywhere not parked at home? i would be pissed off with a new car that already has issues like that.

I've had the 335i go completely dead once because I forgot to hit the button a second time. I think it depends on what is on in the car.

Doesn't matter; yours is anomaly--sorry you were the one. This car has been very troublefree on the whole, so calm down and get it fixed.

yah people this car a tad too much, someone called M3 "legendary" yesteday

in any case shit happens, every car is prone to shit like that, probably something very simple as simple as a fuse or something that's causing everything to go down. if not, then it's probably user error jkjk

i m driving a 335 (my dealer is too good to me) at the moment ( my bimmer delayed ) and i mentioned that the electrics at the car turn of after some time, if there is no key in the car.

I would guess itīs some problem with the battery or else it might be complex ( but most time the easiest explenation is right)

Just one other suggestion for you, and this is a long shot, and you've probably already thought of it: but I had the same problem once with my E46 M3 - had been working fine then one day it went dead as a doornail - tow truck tried boosting it etc. and nothing - it turned out that all it was is that the connections to the battery had come loose. Maybe when they hooked up the battery on your new car they didn't tighten the terminals enough and they worked their way loose?
