low fuel less power?

good day all

Can anyone confirm if 1st low fuel light at 1/4 tank reduces power or if the 2nd fuel reserve light reduces even more power?

car definitely feels sluggish with the reserve light comes on

never heard of this, but I guess now I am interested to know. I doubt it's true, but just my assumption.

It feels as if the car limits to 75%throttle once the last reserve light is on

Either way, it's not actually changing true power output, right?

Power is not limited, but not suggested to go full throttle with lower fuel levels as you can induce misfires and other issues if the fuel supply is not sufficient for conditions.

I've been through 99% of the torque management section of the mss60 disassembly and haven't seen anything associated with fuel level. I can't imagine limiting would be done anywhere but inside the torque manager, all other limiting is done there.

thank you Mike. that is much appreciated. I was under the impression throttle was cut to 75% with the fuel light on. so is it fine to drag with 1/4 tank

That would really piss off trackers if they had to tow around more weight then needed to prevent power loss! So no it's not true..
