The other night I used a rubber wheel to remove 3M tape from my trunk before installing my new trunk spoiler. Unfortunately, the rubber wheel left yellow stains and I had to use polishing compound and a cutting foam to remove the stain. Unexpectedly, I ended up removing paint! Can this be repaired without removing the spoiler? Attached is the spot where the paint got down to the metal and the polish and pad I used.

Nope, you must remove the spoiler and repaint the entire trunk most likely if there isn't any clearing left.
